We are hiring an entry level Inspector to work in our •Ville Platte, La location•. The successful candidate will inspect materials and/or products to ensure they meet required specifications using established inspection techniques (NDT, dimensional inspection). Summary of essential job functions:
Initially under the guidance or instruction of an experienced Inspector, the incumbent will undertake any or all of the following: + Demonstrates clear understanding of safety rules, regulations and policies. + Demonstrates clear understanding of quality management system procedures, including all quality instructions specific to the job functions hired to perform. + If hired for NDT, complete the necessary training, per ASNT SNT-TC-1A, for each specific NDT discipline in order to be qualified as a Level II inspector. + If hired for Receiving, complete the necessary dimensional and metrology training to be competent in gauge utilization and suitability to perform self-sufficient and effective dimensional inspection. + Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other capacity lifting or transporting equipment. + Undergo training for visual examination of materials and products. + Undergo training for hardness testing and positive material identification, as applicable. + Learn SAP transactions applicable to the role hired for and job functions required, as well as other computer-related software and/or applications necessary to effectively perform the job. + Read, comprehend and understand specifications, drawings, special procedures or other work-related instructions to perform operations and/or tasks associated with the job functions. + Be punctual and follow the attendance policy. + Be able to work well with others in a team environment.
