Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Blattner Steel Co. 2100 Rust Avenue, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Welding Inspector to join our quality assurance team. The Welding Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all welding processes meet industry standards and comply with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of quality control measures, precision measuring instruments, and various welding techniques. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and safety of our products. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of welded components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Perform quality assurance checks throughout the welding process, adhering to FDA regulations and CGMP guidelines. Utilize precision measuring instruments to assess weld integrity and dimensional accuracy. Collect and analyze data related to welding processes and outcomes for continuous improvement. Document findings from inspections, including any non-conformities, and communicate them effectively to the production team. Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO 9001 and HACCP during the inspection process. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement corrective actions for identified issues. Provide training and guidance to welders on best practices for quality control. Skills Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices related to welding. Familiarity with FDA regulations, CGMP, HACCP, and
ISO 9001
standards. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments for quality inspection. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Effective communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
