Job Description
This is a Aircraft Structural and Corrosion Control Technici position located in Madison, MS.
Key Responsibilities:
20%
- Train, Advise, Assist, and Integrate IqAF Structural Repair and Corrosion Control Shop operations to improve fleet health and availability. 20%
- Inspect aircraft and structural components for damage; repair or replace parts to meet safety and operational standards. 15%
- Apply corrosion control treatments; paint aircraft, missiles, and equipment; mix and apply fiberglass, primers, and paints.10%
- Use powered and non-powered tools and equipment; create structural parts using metal forming techniques. 10%
- Train IqAF on use of technical publications, schematics, and specifications. 10%
- Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and repair turnaround time. 15%
- Maintain documentation, collaborate with teams, and fulfill other duties as assigned by Site Management.
Material & Equipment Directly UsedStructural repair tools, metal forming equipment, corrosion control chemicals, fiberglass, primers, paint systems, technical manuals.
Working EnvironmentDeployed flight line and hangar settings; exposure to chemicals, noise, and varied weather conditions. Training, Advising, Assisting, and Integrating Iraqi Air Force (IqAF)Physical ActivitiesClimbing, bending, lifting, using hand and power tools; wearing protective gear; extended standing and mobility.
Education:
USAF 7-skill level (Craftsman) or civilian equivalent with A&P certification preferred.
Certifications:
A&P certification preferred.
Experience:
8 to 10 years of relevant experience in this specialty field.
Other Requirements:
U.S. Citizen; eligible for Secret clearance; international experience preferred; able to travel worldwide including Middle East.
Skills and Technology Used:
Structural repair techniques, corrosion control processes, Logistics Management Systems.
