JOB SUMMARY

Summary:
Performs duties required within the non-destructive testing program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Maintains familiarity with changing requirements of military and commercial specifications and keeps abreast of new technical developments. + Acquires and maintains certifications per NAVSEA and ASNT requirements. + Performs production NDT inspections, when required, in the following areas: radiography, ultrasonics, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, visual inspection, hydrostatic testing, flushing, load testing, leak testing, and functional testing. + Performs load-testing inspection on lifting and handling equipment. + Assists NDT Examiner as needed. Prepares NDT Certificates of Compliance per customer/specification requirements. + Maintains Met Lab and performs destructive testing, if delegated. + Assists manufacturing in assembly and benching operations when needed. + Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
High school graduate and/or technical training. Must have the understanding of NAVSEA 250-1500-1 and/or
MIL-STD-2132
in RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT, and/or ASNT in RT, UT, MT, and PT. Must have one year of experience as a Level II.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, technical procedures, or government regulations.
Math Ability:
– Ability to calculate figures.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
– To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word and Excel spreadsheet software, Internet software, and email.
Certificates and Licenses:
Obtain required NDT certifications.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands:
