Certified Welding Inspector Job Summary Support plant manufacturing, quality, and technical operations with processes assuring the product weld quality. You will be required to be the subject matter expert, responsible for defining and implementing welding techniques, procedures, team member training/certification, weld

compliance, and weld quality/safety controls. Job Duties Ensure compliance of Manufacturing Operations with

standards for the facility. Develop and maintain Welder Qualification Records, WPS, & PQRs. Analyze weld failures for possible causes and lead team to implement corrective actions. Learn and develop expertise in robotic welding. Perform daily weld inspections and document the results. Perform Welder Certification Testing per AWS D1.1 and maintain the welding qualification program of the entire plant. Learn and develop expertise for new welding technology considering safety standards. Support welding operation and process flow improvement activities. Lead team on improving weld quality, including training as needed. Develop and/or improve weld fixtures as needed to improve operations. Perform Continuous Improvement activities and other duties to support the needs of the business. Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.) Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Experience and Education Minimum of 5 Years of welding experience High School Diploma or equivalent AWS Certification of CWI Perform work under minimal supervision Handle complex issues and problems, and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff Possess comprehensive knowledge of subject matter May provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring Competencies/ Skills Ability to interpret work instructions Ability to follow and provide written and verbal directions. Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize daily work as per department needs. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to work independently and closely follow directions.
