As our Responsible Level III , you are responsible for thetraining, approval, and certification of the responsible level I,II and III’s within the company. You will develop, qualify, andapprove procedures, techniques, interpreting codes, standards,specifications, and procedures, as well as designating the NDTmethods, techniques, and procedures to be used. You must be capableof interpreting and evaluating results in terms of existing codes,standards and specifications and have sufficient practicalbackground in applicable materials, fabrication, and producttechnology to establish techniques and delegate this responsibilityto the appropriate quality department personnel. You will have theauthority to supersede and finalize product acceptance decisions.

Responsible for the training program, examination,certification, and approval of the Level I, II and III’s within theNDT department (responsibility includes ensuring all NDT personnelmeet near vision and color perception requirements). Must be certified in accordance with NAS410 as a Level III inone or more of the NDT methods (film and/or digital x-ray). Must provide proof of near vision and color perceptionacceptance records that meet CPP requirements. Candidates for radiographic inspection certification shallcomply with regulatory agency requirements for ionizing radiationsafety per CPP’s radiation safety procedure(s). Conduct annual performance reviews with customer certifiedlevel III’s and internal SCA’s across all OEMs as required. Prepareand conduct NADCAP audits associated with Etch, FPI, X-Ray. The responsible level III shall obtain all customer requiredcertifications and maintain them in accordance with customerspecifications. Conduct weekly and monthly NDT (X-Ray, Digital, FPI)departmental and personnel audits in accordance with PGI-10-01,PGI-10-02 and
PGI-10-07
to ensure compliance of the NDT qualitysystem. Must obtain thorough knowledge of written instructions,procedures, codes, specifications, and standards used by CPPMinneapolis. Given the accountability for identifying and assuringimplementation of customer NDT requirements (NDT proceduredevelopment and approval and technique development/review andapproval). Create quality plans for product qualification (FMEA) for NDTdepartments and validate production processes. Ability to communicate weekly to customers via email and phoneconferences. Attendance at daily stand up, RCCA, scrap and continuousimprovement meetings. Review and implement specifications as directed by customersand the government Approve product/process changes via Engineering ChangeRequests, or Customer Engineering Change Requests What experiencewill make you a successful candidate? Bachelor’s or associates degree in NDT, Engineering or directlyrelated field required. 7+ years’ experience in directly related field (level III orresponsible level III) .
Certifications/Licenses:
Certified in NAS410 as a Level III in one or more of the NDTmethods (film x-ray, digital x-ray, FPI) (required). Ability to pass
