HX5 is currently seeking a Systems Safety Engineer to support the Mobility Aircraft Program Office at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with the development of system safety program plans, hazard analyses, performing risk assessments, evaluating weapon system contractor safety proposals, and evaluating safety concerns/issues. Assist in mishap investigations and assist with responding to the findings and recommendations in mishap reports. Work with functional disciplines as required to assist with developing solutions to the mishap findings and recommendations and reporting them. Assist with the identification of all safety non-compliances in regard to airworthiness and Operational Safety, Suitability and Effectiveness (OSS&E).

Education andExperience:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience;
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited program and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience.
Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited program and twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
Must have five (5) years of DoD experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
