Job Description

Description The Sr Radiological Engineer – Dose & Dispersion will contribute to the Dose and Dispersion team in areas of dose consequence and dispersion analyses within the nuclear, radiological, and safety analysis engineering function. In particular, the Sr Radiological Engineer will perform, verify, and mentor for the team in source term, decay heat, dose and dispersion analyses, ALARA and other radiological nuclear safety analyses supporting GEH’s next generation of Light Water Reactor (LWR) the BWRX-300, next generation reactor designs (GEN 4), and products, designs and services related to servicing our existing fleets & fuel. Perform technical evaluations and provide technical support in areas of source term, decay heat, dose and dispersion analyses, ALARA and other radiological nuclear safety analyses. Effectively communicate and coordinate activities with internal and external project managers, technical personnel, and customers on engineering/technical issues. Maintain a high standard of quality and safety while meeting baseline project schedule and cost objectives. Prepare, document and present technical data to internal and external customers. Contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification. Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC, CNSC, or other regulatory rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards. Mentor and guide early career engineers. Additional Skills & Qualifications M.S. or Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university. Experience with BWR technology and sodium fast reactor technology. Knowledge of plant operational support. Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements. Experience with

ORIGEN, RADTRAD, GALE, MCNP, SCALE, MELCOR, MAAP, MACCS.

Object-oriented programming experience such as Java, C#, C++. Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity. Work easily and communicate effectively within a team environment.
