API Inspector Petroleum Recovery Services 210 Powell Dr, Summerville, SC 29483 Job Summary Lead API-653 Inspector Position Small company located in the Charleston, SC area is seeking a full time API-653 tank inspector to help lead the growing inspection department. The ideal candidate will be an engineer (mechanical, industrial, civil) holding a valid API-653 certification with good field training and experience. We would also consider an experienced API-653 inspector without an engineering degree, or a degreed engineer (mechanical, industrial, civil) with tank inspection experience interested and willing to obtain the API-653 inspection certification. The position will be based in Charleston, SC and will involve a significant amount of travel, primarily in the eastern US (minimal weekend travel). The ideal candidate will enjoy field work, be customer focused, and have the ability to work seamlessly with the other members of the inspection / management team. The candidate will train with a highly experienced (25+ years) API-653 Engineering Manager, with the opportunity for advancement to a company management position within the next 2-3 years. This position will involve working with advanced remote and robotic inspection equipment providing highly sought after services to major US energy companies. Compensation will be based upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
