Distribution Engineer Job Description We are currently hiring multiple New Engineers in the Tampa market passionate about Power Distribution and Electricity. This role is ideal for candidates with a degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university, preferably with knowledge in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical engineering. The position involves analysis, staking, and pole relocation support for utilities in the States. Responsibilities Perform pole analysis, pole relocations, and pole staking utilizing software similar to GDT / Smallworld, DDS and the like. Provide analysis and support for staking and pole relocation projects. Travel 5-10% of the time to stake projects as required. Travel may also involve storm response and restoration after natural disasters. Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and others, for project documentation and reporting. Engage in continuous learning and improvement, remaining open to feedback. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Civil or Mechanical) from an ABET-accredited university. Proficiency in design and AutoCAD. Strong communication skills and initiative. Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous distribution engineering experience supporting utilities is a plus. Internship experience demonstrating initiative is ideal. Experience with pole analysis, relocation, and replacement. Critical thinking and adaptability. Work Environment The work environment is an office setting, requiring 40 hours per week with some potential overtime dependent on deliverables, which must be approved by leadership. Candidates must be open to traveling into the office five days per week, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule after a six-month review based on performance.
