Description Distribution Engineer Level I Job Description We are currently seeking candidates with an Engineering degree to join our team as Distribution Engineers. These positions will focus on Distribution projects. Successful candidates will receive training from two advanced level Distribution Engineers. Job responsibilities include performing engineering calculations such as structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices. Additional tasks involve preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, developing a Bill of Materials (BOM), and estimating costs. The role primarily involves design development and coordination (90% of the time), with occasional fieldwork required after several months on the job (10%). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Orlando, Florida. Work Environment The office environment consists of a mix of Designer, Engineers, and Design Technicians, supporting distribution projects. The work setting promotes teamwork and involves working in groups on various projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications Completed ABET 4 year Engineering Degree (no outstanding credits) – Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Passion and interest in Power Utilities and Distribution CAD Design Experience (AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks, MicroStation, Inventor, MATLAB, etc.)
