Electric Utility Engineer – Position Available In Orange, Florida

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an Electric Utility Engineer who willwork with an investor-owned utility and/or utility consultingcompany performing design engineering. The candidate must aninterest or background in either utility distribution design workor a background or interest in utility design work for high voltagetransmission line projects. ? The distribution design work willinclude overhead, URD, and underground cable/conduit design workpackages. This design work will include complex overhead andunderground distribution projects in urban and rural environmentsin compliance with client’s engineering and constructionspecifications, field engineering of project requirements,identification of conflicting utilities, engineering and designcalculations, and work permit development. Successful candidates must comply with quality control and safework practices and maintain compliance with project scope, scheduleand budget. This position will be a member of a design teamcomprised of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians and willwork with client standards to implement design

Qualifications:

This is an entry level engineering position. Experience withelectric utility distribution design and/or construction projects?which can be obtained through either, or internships orcooperatives while attending university–is preferred A Bachelor?s Degree in Electrical Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, Civil Engineering or an Associate?s degree inEngineering Technology with additional work experience ? Ability towalk one mile ? Ability to swing a 3 lb. hammer ? Ability to stakepoles Open to overnight travel / travel in general.
