In the role of Transmission/Distribution Designer, we’ll count on you to: Prepare transmission related drawings such as plan and profile drawings, structural details, foundation details, and other engineering drawings.
Perform calculations, reports and designs on transmission line design projects to support engineers.
Understand client standards and complete small projects and simple to moderately complex tasks, exercising judgment in design criteria, evaluation, and design, subject to review by engineers.
Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks to meet project goals.
Communicate with Project Managers and Project Engineers.
Work independently to perform transmission and distribution design tasks, CADD design, develop design drawings and documents, perform

modeling and/or analysis, prepare material lists, perform field reviews, and other tasks for simple projects
Must be capable of effective communication; work in a team-oriented environment and possess analytical and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
Proficiency using AutoCAD, BOUD and Maximo.
Experience with or ability to learn

PLS-CADD

transmission line modeling software.
Ability to be a lead technician and work closely with engineering staff.
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Computer skills in Microsoft Office
