Required:

• Experience technically supporting a variety of Transmission line projects at 230kV or above (8+ years)
• B.

S. in Engineering with a deep knowledge of at least one Transmission discipline. 17880

Preferred:

• Professional Engineer certification
• Field experience
• Experience developing standards 17879

Required:

• Experience working on significant transmission projects.
• Experience with FERC Order 1000 competitive projects and early engineering on acquisitions.
• Experience defining and influencing project requirements and scope.
• Experience securing engineering consulting, surveying, and geotechnical resources from approved suppliers by developing a scope of work, securing bids and awarding work through NEER’s Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Group.
• Experience ensuring that key deliverables are produced by the engineer of record on schedule with high quality, resolving all constraints identified.
• Experience representing E&C’s internal and external interests on assigned projects, including presentations and briefings on current progress, issues, and risk mitigation in meetings with various levels of management.

• Experience with competitive transmission proposals
• Experience with value engineering and solutions development
• Experience with HVDC Transmission
• EHV overhead transmission experience (500kV+)
• Underground or submarine cable experience

Responsibilities :

• Provide A+ technical support to the Project Engineering teams while maintaining the schedule and budget of assigned projects.
• Use in depth Transmission line knowledge, teamwork, and engineering judgement to respond to project Requests for Information.
• Develop, interpret, and implement Transmission line standards.
• Lead and mentor Project Engineers to better understand technical requirements.
• Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement.
• Actively engage in team meetings and projects where communication and a team-oriented mindset are critical.
