50% No sponsorship Our client is a leading consulting organization they have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Consultant in the Transmission Services Department. This position is based out of the Atlanta, GA office with work-from-home ability. The primary responsibilities and required skills are listed below. Responsibilities Direct the monitoring, participation and strategy for Clients in regional transmission forums.
Support development of expert witness testimony in transmission system matters at the FERC and State level for our Clients. Monitor FERC for relevant filings on national and regional transmission policy initiatives, provide summaries of said filings for our Clients and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for FERC transmission policies. Serve as primary representative for regional transmission organization working groups on behalf of GDS clients
Serve as subject matter expert for FERC transmission policy matters.
Manager – Serve as the technical supervisor of Associate, Engineer, Lead, Project Lead, or Senior Project Lead staff. Experience and Skills Required Bachelor degree in Engineering, Management, Pre-Law or Public Policy.
Must pass a Background Check before employment and again at least once every 7-years
Knowledge of FERC Open Access Transmission Tariffs, Interconnection policy, or transmission planning and cost allocation preferred
Working knowledge of Open Access Same-time Information System
Minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience in the electric utility industry directly related to transmission operation, planning or policy
Preferred 3 to 5 years’ experience in electric utility ratemaking, utility accounting, or regulatory strategy Manager – Demonstrated team leadership or supervisory experience.
