Role:

The Utilities Locator plays a critical role by providing essential data and insights that inform decision-making processes for various projects. This position involves conducting Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) surveys to identify and map underground utilities, ensuring that construction and development projects proceed without unforeseen complications. This role will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver accurate and timely reports that enhance project safety and efficiency. By utilizing advanced surveying techniques and technologies, the Utilities Locator contributes to the overall success of projects while minimizing risks associated with underground utilities. Ultimately, this role is vital in promoting informed planning and execution of construction activities, thereby supporting the growth and development of infrastructure in the Atlanta area.

Minimum Qualifications:

Certification in Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) or equivalent experience. Proven experience in utility surveying and mapping techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related software. Familiarity with local utility regulations and standards. Strong project management skills and experience in a team-oriented environment. Experience in Land Surveying, Engineering, or Subsurface Utility Engineering Project Manager experience

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed SUE surveys to identify and document the location of underground utilities. Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software to collect and analyze data. Prepare comprehensive reports and maps that accurately represent utility locations and conditions. Collaborate with project teams to integrate utility data into project planning and execution. Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards related to utility surveying.
