Summary:
Seeking a Supervising Substation Engineer with extensive experience in substation design, engineering, and project management for large-scale utility projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
Licensed professional engineer with over 15 years of industry experience
Extensive knowledge of substation engineering and design
Ability to obtain a license within one year if registered in another state
Preferred Skills:
Experience managing design teams with multidisciplinary engineers, designers, and drafters
Strong understanding of high voltage electrical substation components (138kV and above)
Proficiency in AC/DC fundamentals and three-phase power systems
Familiarity with engineering software applications
Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards
Competence in using word processing, spreadsheet, and email software
Responsibilities:
Ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and profitability objectives
Supervise multiple project teams for timely project completion
Assign projects based on requirements and personnel availability
Coordinate efforts with construction and purchasing departments
Maintain project schedules and budgets
Apply software for ground grid design, relay coordination, etc.
Perform engineering tasks to meet schedules when necessary
Pay Details:
$140,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
