Job Description

Entry Level Power Distribution Engineer – New Orleans Our team is currently hiring for 4+ engineers in the New Orleans market to support local and nationwide Power Distribution & Utility projects. This team specializes in the Design, Construction, and Installation of Power Grid Infrastructure, and these candidates will be focusing specifically on Power Distribution Projects for Maintenance and Repairs. This team is responsible for performing Analysis, Staking, and Pole Relocation support for Electric Utilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with minimal experience to get their foot in the door with an established national firm while learning and developing marketable skills within a stable industry. Job Responsibilities Perform Analysis, Staking and Pole Relocation for Electric Utilities in the United States Utilize software such as GDT, Smallworld, DDS, or other to complete necessary work Travel up to 5-10% of the time to complete Project Staking Utilize Microsoft products to communicate project updates Job Requirements Bachelor of Science in Engineering – Preference for Electrical or Mechanical, but will consider Chemical or Industrial Ability to Receive and Apply Feedback while Continuously Learning Strong Communication, Initiative, and Critical-Thinking Abilities Ability to work with multiple internal and external partners Work Environment These engineers will report to an office and can expect 40 hours per week with some overtime depending on deliverables (must be approved by leadership). After 6 months of training, these candidates will be eligible for a performance review with the potential to switch to a hybrid setup. Dress code is business casual. This role may require 5-10% travel.
