- Perform hands-on commissioning of substation and FACTS equipment
- Test and validate AC/DC circuits, protection systems, and interlocks
- Support installation and energization of transformers, switchgear, and cooling systems
- Collaborate with teams to ensure safety and quality standards
- Interpret technical drawings and relay information to project teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real-time on-site
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety protocols
- Represent Hitachi Energy with professionalism and technical expertise
- Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in an electrical-related field
- 3-5 years of experience in HV substation or power quality commissioning
- Familiar with SVC, STATCOM, capacitor banks, and related systems
- Skilled in testing transformers, relays, SCADA/RTU, and protection circuits
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
