$30.00 – $35.00 per hour Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Utilities Engineer to join our facilities team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of boiler systems, steam room equipment, and other utility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with industrial steam systems and a solid foundation in utilities engineering. Key Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain high- and low-pressure boilers and steam room equipment. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control-related equipment issues to reduce downtime. Maintain accurate logs, inspection records, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and operational standards. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to meet operational goals. Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations. Support equipment upgrades, system installations, and utility improvements as needed. Respond to emergency situations and support after-hours or on-call duties as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required). Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with boiler and steam systems (preferred). Strong knowledge of utilities systems, including steam, compressed air, and water. Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and control systems relevant to boiler operations. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic computer proficiency for maintenance logging and communication. Physical capability to lift, climb, and perform duties in various industrial conditions. Valid Boiler Operator License or certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain). Working Conditions Frequent exposure to industrial environments including heat, steam, and noise. Requires standing, climbing, and lifting for extended periods. Must be available for rotating shifts, weekends, and holiday coverage as needed.
