Power EngineerPosition Summary:

We are seeking a driven Power Engineer to join our team based in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and testing of Advanced Electrical Power Systems for US Navy ship programs. If you are passionate about hands-on power systems work, have previous experience with power electronics and related equipment, and thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, then you could be the perfect fit for this role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Work with a diverse range of equipment including DC/DC and AC/DC solid-state converters, solid-state relays, motor drives, transfer switches, and overcurrent protection.

Oversee and facilitate shipboard preventive and corrective maintenanceInterface with multidisciplinary engineering groups to coordinate technical requirements and product integrityPerform engineering projects related to electrical power distribution systems, electric drives, and solid-state converters.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

BS in Electrical Engineering requiredMust be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance3+ years of demonstrated experience in the field of Power ElectronicsAbility to learn quickly and work on several projects concurrentlyMust possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsProject management experience is a plus
