Mesa seeks a Substation Physical Engineer who will be responsible for the design, checking and oversite of deliverables associated with substation physical design projects. Assigned tasks will include the creation and revision of General Arrangements, Elevations and Sections, Control House Layouts, Grounding layouts, Conduit and Cable schedules, and Bill of Materials using AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will also oversee multiple projects at once and may oversee other junior engineers and designers.
Utilize AutoCAD to create assigned deliverables
Meet customer’s schedule and budget requirements
Perform Physical design with high degree of accuracy
Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
Perform careful self-checking activities to ensure the quality of work before it is presented to peers for independent reviews.
Check/review other personnel’s work for accuracy/adherence to client/national standards
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and occasionally oversee other designers and engineers in order to complete projects on time and on budget
Perform project scoping activities
Mentor junior engineers and designers
