The Position:

Full time, on-site, salaried, exempt position. NSI offers competitive pay based on qualifications and experience, plus opportunities for annual merit increases and bonuses.
Private dedicated office space near the production floor.
Paid Total Time Off (TTO – vacation, personal, sick time) accrues 4 weeks per year and increases with your tenure at the company. You will also be eligible for 11 paid holidays annually.

Responsibilities:

Work with product development group to transition new products to production
Work with product engineering group to resolve manufacturing related quality issues.
Evaluate manufacturing processes and implement approved changes to reduce nonvalue adding activities.
Create, standardize, and document manufacturing processes.
Maintain and update engineering drawings and documents.
Work directly with vendors and part suppliers on quality and/or engineering related issues.

Qualifications Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).

Required:

3+ years of relevant work experience in a product development and manufacturing environment.

Required Skills:

In-depth understanding of analog electronics and electronic components.
Working knowledge of digital electronics.
Programming experience, preferably in Python
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on experience designing, building and troubleshooting electronic circuits.
Ability to identify technical issues and propose improvement plans.
Goal oriented, ability to self-direct and follow through on projects.

Preferred Skills:

Ability to create and modify mechanical engineering designs and drawings for components or fixtures, preferably with SolidWorks
PCB layout and design
Basic ERP knowledge, ability to create and maintain BOMs and work flows.
Leadership skills, ability to work with and lead manufacturing technicians.
