Job Description

SourcePro Search is conducting a search for an experienced RFID Development Engineer to contribute to the design, prototyping, and testing of UHF Gen2 (RAIN) RFID antennas used in labels and tags. This role is critical in developing RFID tagging solutions and supporting product development based on customer and industry requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal global teams and external partners to enhance RFID product offerings and ensure high-performance solutions.

What You’ll Do:

RFID Design & Development Develop expertise in

UHF RFID

Inlay technology and global product offerings. Design, prototype, and test RFID antennas for labels and tags. Assist in the development of next-generation RFID products for the company. Support R D efforts by utilizing laboratory facilities to characterize RFID antenna designs. Product Testing & Quality Assurance Troubleshoot technical product issues related to performance, encoding, and quality assurance. Work with ARC Labs to coordinate the certification of RFID labels. Collect and analyze quality-related data from global manufacturing sites to support ARC Quality Certification. Collaboration & Customer Engagement Work with customers and internal teams to define product specifications, compare to ARC standards, and recommend inlay solutions. Collaborate with chip suppliers (e.g., NXP, Impinj, Alien) on next-generation RFID products. Gather and analyze customer feedback to refine RFID product features and requirements. Support internal R D and Product Management teams in identifying gaps in the RFID label portfolio.

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field from an accredited institution. Prior experience with RFID applications (reader systems, components, and labels) is highly desirable. Working knowledge and experience with

UHF RFID

inlay antenna design is a key requirement . Knowledge of Automatic Identification Data Capture (AIDC) and RFID encoding solutions. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and customers.
