Prototype Development Location:
Memphis, TN Salary:
$80,000 – $110,000 + Up to 10% annual bonus based on project performance.
Must Have’s:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience Experience with regulatory compliance Strong background in sheet metal and plastic component design, mechanical systems, and electrical circuit.
Strongly Preferred:

What You’ll Do:
Design and implement mechanical solutions for new equipment and enhancements to existing systems. Lead innovation projects from concept through prototyping, testing, and refinement. Manage project timelines and deliverables based on defined goals and briefs. Ensure all designs comply with industry regulations (NSF, CSA, UL, etc.). Provide technical support to field teams, engineers, and consultants. Work with regulatory inspectors to ensure uninterrupted customer operations. Develop and maintain technical documentation and instructional materials.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience.
Strong background in:
Sheet metal fabrication Plastic component design Commercial water heaters and heat pumps Electrical circuit design and troubleshooting Project management experience with the ability to meet timelines and goals. Proficient in 3D CAD modeling – Autodesk Inventor with sheet metal design experience preferred. Strong communication and technical writing skills.
Preferred Background:
Experience in the commercial restaurant/food equipment industry. Prior role as a design engineer in a smaller organization , supporting: Product development Manufacturing operations Customer support
