Job Description:
TSC’s Systems Development and Production Division in Huntsville, AL is currently looking to hire a Radar Systems Engineer. This is a mid-level position that will work with a Senior Systems engineer in the architecture development and implementation of radar systems for the military market. The candidate should have a good theoretical understanding of radio wave propagation and digital signal processing and should be able to work semi-autonomously onplex analysis tasks. Experience with RF and/or digital hardware design and integration is a plus.
Common Responsibilities:
Support development of new technology with senior engineer.
Support development of system architectures andponent specifications through trade studies and analysis under the supervision of a senior engineer.
Work in a team of multi-disciplinary engineers to solveplex problems.
Support integration and test activities associated with radarponents and systems, in the lab setting and in the field.
Support detailed measurement and verification activities using RF, digital, and custom test equipment. This would include, but is not limited to, the use of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and radar repeaters. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Education:
B.S. in an Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics discipline with 4+ years of experience with Radar and RF systems
M.S. in an Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics discipline with 2+ years of experience with Radar and RF systems
Ph.D. in an Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics discipline with 0+ years of experience with Radar and RF systems
Good academic background with exemplary grades and/or professor rmendation
Academic background and/or experience with the following areas is required:
Radio Wave Propagation
Digital Signal Processing
Math-based Analysis Techniques
Computer-based analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, Maple, Mathcad, Python, etc.)
Electronics Laboratory Test Activities
Self-motivated and free-thinking individual capable of independent technical discussion and design contribution
Excellentanizational skills, ability to prioritize work and maximize productivity
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with RF, Radar, or Rocket/Missile systems/subsystems
Experience with C/C++ Applications
Experience designing/building/testing electronicponents
Experience collecting engineering data and supporting test events
