Our client is currently seeking a
RF/DOCSIS
Engineer Ideal Candidate:
- Looking for 2 mid level engineers to work as outside RF plant engineers
- will be primarily remote with some travel as needed (no more than 10%).
- Need strong RF experience
- understanding RF maps, RF nodes, spectrum maps, etc. and understand the connections within RF
- Primarily troubleshoot data transmission and transport
- handling RF escalations so must be technical and experienced
- Must have exposure to DOCSIS/understanding of DOCSIS platforms
- Experience evaluating and troubleshooting power supply for radios and nodes
- Working with SNMP/Simple Network Management Protocol for IP networks
- Any experience with network topology is a huge plus
- Deploying over 7,000 CBRS radios in the next 6 months

- hands on experience working with Cable Modem Termination Systems (CMTS)
- Provide support to installers live in the field on modem support, upstream downstream power, and evaluate signal to noise ratio
- Will be working on basic RF troubleshooting and cable modem support

- this team is an escalation point for outside engineers
- Advise on risk mitigation within RF
