CCBU Characterization Engineering SUMMARY:
Characterization Engineer:
This position will be working with the product development team in our CCBU group, collecting and analyzing performance test data and supplying conformance test reports for each of our products in development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the characterization of the DC and RF performance of RF integrated circuits (RFIC’s) such as WiFi, Multi-mode, multiband Power amplifiers (MMPA’s), SAW/BAW Filters, and RF switches
Collect performance test data (EVM, SEM, IMD, S-Parameters, etc.)
Analyze data and prepare results for product team review using data visualization tools (e.g. Spotfire)
Work with multiple phases of product design, including qualification, characterization, production test correlation data
Work with design and application engineers to identify and resolve issues to improve product compliance
Train other engineers and technicians on RF test methodologies and test platform
QUALIFICATIONS
BSEE or equivalent degree
Familiarity with RF equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Duplexer, Filter, Coupler)
Understanding of analog, digital, and RF theory preferred
Knowledge of statistical analysis tools, such as Spotfire
Written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
