Controls Engineer Job Description The Controls Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing and developing software for industrial controls, including PLCs, machine vision systems, robotics, and other related equipment. This position requires a thorough understanding of electrical schematics and involves installation, start-up, testing, and debugging equipment at the customer’s location. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining technical documentation. Responsibilities Design and develop software for industrial controls, including PLCs, machine vision systems, and robotics. Interpret, create, and modify electrical schematics. Install, start-up, test, and debug equipment at the customer’s location. Develop and maintain technical documentation. Essential Skills Experience in controls engineering and automation. Proficiency in programming with C# from scratch. Experience in programming PLCs and robotics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Programming experience with PLCs and/or machine vision systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to independently learn and troubleshoot problems. Willingness to travel.
