Android Robotics Engineer
Android Robotics Engineer onsite in RI
Location:
Hybrid – Providence, RI
Duration – 12 month initial contract
Our clients engineering team is seeking a Senior Android Robotics Developer to help design, develop, support, and maintain cutting-edge Android applications that directly impact retail store employees and customers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, can seamlessly move between different projects, and consistently delivers high-quality code under pressure. This role will serve as a technical lead on projects under the guidance of an Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of innovative Android application Jump across multiple projects and applications as needed Deliver clean, efficient, and scalable code in a deadline-driven environment Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including robotics and accessibility teams Develop applications that support accessibility and inclusive design
Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years with Android development principle 2+ years expertise with Robotics and iOT engineering Proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose Experience with architecture patterns like MVVM and MVP Strong debugging skills, including proficiency with ADB commands Experience with app-to-app communication Knowledge of RxJava Hands-on with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger 2 or Hilt Familiarity with Room or Realm databases Experience with MySQL or other relational databases Stays current on latest Android trends and Google best practices

Have:
Exposure to Angular Experience with cross-platform frameworks such as Xamarin, Ionic, or React Native Strong sense of UI/UX design Comfort working in Linux environments and with Docker
