Mechanical and Robotics Technician Hiring seasonal Maintenance Technician with an Immediate start time. Expect a call from our Aerotek recruiter Nick!!! Job Description As a Mechanical and Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. Additionally, you will develop your skills while mentoring junior technicians, helping them grow in their roles. Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more. Maintain a positive working relationship across all the Amazon Operations facility. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49 pounds and stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. Possible travel up to 20%. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays. 1 year of experience in PC competency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate’s or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field. 2 years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. 2 years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment. 2 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 1 year of metal and wood fabrication experience. 1 year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading experience. 1 year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles. Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards according to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards. Project management experience. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Work Environment The work environment includes repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. You will handle parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds and occasionally up to 49 pounds. The conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures inside/outside, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Deltona, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
