Description
The instructor position aims to train students in both programming and operation of robotic equipment. This position will be teaching classes in Butner Federal Prison. Essential Duties
Planning and preparing robotics curriculum and materials Setting up and maintaining robotics equipment Demonstrating and explaining robotics equipment and software
Adhering to safety standards during all robotic lab sessions
Assessing student learning outcomes Maintaining suitable class records and attendance Maintaining appropriate course documents such as syllabi, objectives, tests, lesson plans and the Learning Management System for the class. Performing maintenance on instruction equipment
Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

Candidates for this position are required to have one year of robotic programming and operation experience.
Two years of industry experience with automation, manufacturing, robotics, and instrumentation.

Education and Experience Preferred:

Preferred candidates will have an Associate’s degree or higher in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Robotics, or a related field.
Additional preference will be given to those candidates with experience programming of ABB collaborative robots.
Salaries are determined based on a candidate’s highest degree earned.
Physical Demands
Light work that includes moving objects up to 30 pounds.
Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
Laboratory set-up and take-down for in person labs
