HTI is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our Client at a Tier 1 automotive facility. This is a direct hire, hands-on, floor-based role responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production equipment in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Must be able to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints – this is non-negotiable.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Provide technical support to maintain equipment readiness.
Work with robotics, including recovery and teaching.
Use hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments safely and effectively.
Follow safety protocols and regulations.
Adhere to documentation processes within the Maintenance Operating System (MOS).
Train entry-level maintenance technicians as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with 5S standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics – this is a must-have skill to be considered.
Basic troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing or automated distribution setting.
Physical ability to handle heavy lifting and work in a hands-on, sometimes dirty environment.
Basic knowledge of PLCs (PLC work is handled by a separate team).
Understanding of robotics, including recovery and teaching functions.
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or technical training in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in a technical field OR five (5) years of maintenance experience.
Experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing.
Experience with CNC machining centers or automated assembly equipment.
