PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Performsadvanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of SolarPlant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert toengineers. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellentknowledge in functional discipline and its practical applicationand has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes andregulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide in-depthtechnical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineeringanalysis, activities and programs. Perform grid event analysis andprovide guidance to site operations. Provide testingoversite/support, review reports and provide feedback to siteoperations. Provide technical expertise and consultation throughdirect involvement and as a subject matter expert when consulted toidentify and resolve equipment and system problems. Directlyfulfill engineering and technical leadership accountabilityregarding short-term and long-term programs that impact siteoperations. Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervisionapplying engineering principles. Accountable for the accuracy,completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configurationmanagement and assuring that standard design criteria, practices,procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans andspecifications. Perform independent research, reviews, studies andanalyses in support of technical projects and programs. Recommendequipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance,simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or materialflaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS BS
Engineering, and 7 years professional experience.
Minimum 1 year as Engineer 3A. Has completed assigned skills andknowledge development training (applicable Advanced Engineering,EPRI, and Constellation University training or industry providedtraining) to develop expert level of knowledge in designated areas.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated ability to mentor otherengineers in key knowledge and skills. Demonstrated proficiencyleading cross functional initiatives at an asset/plant
