Full Job Description Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Survey Technician with a strong background in drafting as-built surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This role is ideal for someone who understands the connection between field data collection and accurate, high-quality survey drawings. You will work closely with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to support a variety of construction projects for multiple states.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and produce as-built surveys and foundation locations. Interpret and convert field-collected survey data (e.g., total station, GPS) into clear, accurate CAD drawings. Review field notes, sketches, and digital data for accuracy and completeness. Create topographic surveys, utility locates, and boundary surveys as needed. Produce Flood Elevation Certificates for Under Construction and Final Construction. Maintain CAD layer standards, annotation styles, and drawing templates. Coordinate with field crews to ensure data collection meets project needs.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or technical certification in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field or equivalent work experience . 2+ years of experience drafting surveys with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Strong understanding of As-built Surveys. Familiarity with land surveying principles, including coordinate systems, datums, and control networks. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Experience with construction staking or utility mapping.
