Summary:

Perform various surveying related tasks using both traditional methods and entry-level Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to produce precise and accurate results in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Record survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, sketches, and various electronic data collectors. Position and hold surveying rods to locate and record measurements. Utilize entry-level CAD software to create and modify simple surveying drawings and plans under guidance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Requirements:

Strong math skills. Entry-level experience or familiarity with CAD software. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to critical problems. Good oral and written skills to communicate on multiple levels with various clients and co-workers. Proficient with MS Office programs. Ability to work within a team environment. Desire to work outdoors year-round. Must be a self-starter with the desire to learn and advance.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Exposure to or coursework in CAD is a plus.
