As a Survey Field Technician I, you’ll receive hands-on training and work with cutting-edge tools like GPS, LiDAR, laser scanners, and drones. This is your opportunity to build a career while supporting vital infrastructure and land development projects across Central Florida.

What You’ll Do:

Load, unload, and maintain survey equipment daily (GPS, Total Stations, levels, etc.). Learn to operate survey instruments and data collection devices. Set up tripods and assist with backsite/foresight operations. Perform line cutting, safety setup, and flagging under supervision. Conduct vehicle pre-checks and maintain cleanliness. Assist with monthly equipment inventory and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) services. Take on additional field duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

High School Diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Willingness to learn and use standard survey equipment (training provided). Ability to travel up to 50%, including multi-day trips. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., walk/stand for long periods, and work in all weather conditions. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only). Bonus Skills (Not Required): Experience with construction, GPS, land surveying, hand tools, GPR, or LiDAR.

Work Environment & Benefits:

You’ll work outdoors across Central Florida, supporting both private and government projects—many related to FDOT. Travel may include company vehicle or commercial airline, with occasional 2-week assignments.
