The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting land surveying projects by utilizing advanced surveying technology and software. This position requires a strong understanding of surveying principles, as well as proficiency in various tools and techniques to ensure accurate data collection and analysis. Duties Conduct land surveys using GPS, 3D scanners, and other surveying equipment. Draft survey plans and reports using software such as MicroStation and Civil 3D. Utilize ArcGIS for mapping and spatial analysis of survey data. Perform utility locating to identify underground utilities before construction activities. Assist in the preparation of project documentation and maintain accurate records of survey findings. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure project specifications are met. Engage in heavy lifting as required for equipment setup and material handling on-site. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices during fieldwork. Requirements Proven experience in land surveying or a related field is preferred. Proficiency with GPS technology, 3D scanners, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS is highly desirable. Strong drafting skills with the ability to create detailed survey plans. Ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients. A valid driver’s license is required for travel to job sites.
