Webber, an industry leader in construction and infrastructure, is seeking a dynamic Assistant Regional Survey Manager to join our team.

Your Role:

Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation The Assistant Survey Manager supports the Survey Manager in managing day-to-day operations of the Survey Department, assists in planning and coordinating various phases of field work, and provides administrative and technical supervision over assigned staff and subcontractors. The role involves aiding in all aspects of the survey portion of a project from the development of project scope, budgets, and schedules to the execution of field surveys including line location, centerline, and as-built survey.

What You Will Do:

Assist in the identification of benchmarks, monuments, centerlines, and other reference points necessary for correct installation and/or construction oversight. Support the review and proper interpretation of construction plans and drawings. Aid in the final checking of all produced layouts to ensure proper relationship to references given, both by survey and by technical drawings. Perform administrative functions, such as completing time sheets and vehicle mileage reports, maintaining expense accounts, and documenting subsequent expenditures. Contribute to enhancing the operations of the company.

Who You Are:

A Profile of Success Associate degree in surveying or civil technology two years of experience, or four years of qualified surveying experience in lieu of a degree; or a comparable combination of education and experience will be considered. Driver’s License, OSHA10, First Aid, and CPR. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Exposure and some experience with the following software: Trimble Data transfer software Trimble Geomatics office (TGO) OpenRoad Designer OpenBridge Designer Microsoft office Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
