DRMP’s Surveying & Mapping/Geomatics Division is HIRING and we’re looking for entry-level, Survey Field Technicians to join our Raleigh office.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include
Load truck with the necessary equipment and supplies that are needed throughout the day. Transport and set up the instruments/equipment and prepare the job site for the survey. Clear brush and trees away from the survey line. Hold the prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points. Measure how far different points are from each other, using tape or electronic equipment; Help with the various pieces of survey equipment. Have familiarity/working knowledge of survey equipment. Operate the surveying equipment with the supervisor’s oversight.
What you’ll need
High School and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school.
Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
Ability to travel – some overnight travel may be required Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed on the project.
Ability to cut and/or clear brush while establishing survey lines. (machete use)
Adequate knowledge of equipment and the ability to set up for various types of work.
Ability to hold and proficiently use a prism pole, rods, and other measuring devices.
Ability to lift the pieces of equipment required for a project.
