The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately locating and marking underground utility lines to ensure safe excavation and construction practices. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in various field conditions. Additionally we will train the successful candidate in GPR concrete scanning and will be asked to assist in our concrete drilling and sawing operations. Responsibilities Conduct thorough utility line locating using specialized equipment and techniques. Mark utility lines on construction sites according to established safety protocols. Collaborate with construction teams to provide accurate information regarding underground utilities. Perform field surveys and assess site conditions to identify potential hazards. Maintain accurate records of utility locations and site assessments. Operate equipment such as forklifts and backhoes when necessary for site preparation. Read and interpret blueprints and site plans to ensure compliance with project specifications. Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Skills Proficiency in utility locating techniques and equipment operation. Experience as a service technician in a related field is preferred. Familiarity with cabling, land surveying, and construction site practices. Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as backhoes safely. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Ability to work independently in various outdoor environments while adhering to safety standards.
