As a Construction Layout Surveying Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the success of our grading, utility, and paving projects, ensuring accurate and efficient layout and staking of construction sites. What You’ll Do:

As a Survey Construction Layout Specialist at Byard Construction LLC, you will: Set up and operate surveying equipment to establish construction site boundaries and ensure proper layout. Provide precise staking and measurement for foundations, utilities, roads, and other construction elements. Work closely with project managers and other team members to review project plans and ensure alignment with survey data. Conduct field surveys and measurements to monitor construction progress and confirm project compliance. Maintain surveying equipment and ensure it’s calibrated and in good working order. Assist with interpreting and applying construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Support project teams by providing accurate data for planning, layout, and construction activities. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure the well-being of yourself and your coworkers.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform tasks with precision. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other construction professionals. Previous experience as a surveyor or survey technician is preferred, but not required. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Drug-free and at least 18 years of age.
