PRIMARY PURPOSE
To inspect cargo damaged in transit and determine the nature, cause, and extent of damages; to re documents to determine when the cargo was damaged; and to provide written reports to underwriters and other parties with his/her qualified opinion as to the cause of loss.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees loading and unloading of cargo from ships and other forms of transit to document damages as they are loaded and/or unloaded.
Inspects damaged ships to determine cause of the damage and amount of damage resulting from collisions or motor failures.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Supports the organization’s quality program(s).
Travels as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Experience
Five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Skills & Knowledge Good oral and written communication skills
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Good customer service skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

Be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
Be able to drive up to 4 hours per day.
Must have continual use of manual dexterity
