Position Summary:

The Surveyor is responsible for all field layoutand as-builts on assigned projects. Work conditions include walkinglong distances while carrying up to 40 pounds of equipment andworking in all weather conditions for 8-10 hours a day.

Responsibilities:

• Operate all types of survey equipment includingGPS and SCS900 software, Total Station, and Level.
• Perform sitesetup activities; i.e. site calibration, level runs, controlchecks.
• Perform all layout calculations in data collector; i.

e.

Station/Offset, Distances, Grading.

• Keep detailed field notes.
• Work independently when performing field layout.
• Transfer filesbetween field and office.
• Work directly with the Project Managersand Superintendents regarding initial project layout requirements,means and methods of establishing project survey control, and fieldreporting.
• Utilize Trimble survey equipment and softwareincluding GPS, Robotic Total Stations, and manage Machine Controlequipment
• Software used includes SCS900, Trimble Access, andTrimble Business Center.
