The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing accurate maps and reports, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying techniques, as well as proficiency in various software applications used in the field. The Land Surveyor will collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to provide precise data for construction projects and land development. Duties Conduct land surveys using advanced surveying equipment and techniques. Prepare detailed maps, schematics, and reports based on survey data. Analyze survey data to determine boundaries, elevations, and contours. Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Carlson, MicroStation, and Civil 3D for drafting and design purposes. Implement GIS technologies to enhance mapping accuracy and efficiency. Perform calculations using trigonometry and GPS technology to ensure precise measurements. Collaborate with project teams to provide surveying insights for design and construction phases. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding land use and surveying practices. Maintain accurate records of surveys conducted and data collected. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a Land Surveyor or in a similar role is advantageous. Proficiency in surveying software including ArcGIS, Trimble, AutoCAD, Carlson, MicroStation, and Civil 3D. Strong mathematical skills with an emphasis on trigonometry for calculations. Familiarity with GIS technologies and their application in land surveying. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various outdoor environments. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
