Land Surveying Crew/Party Chief Frankland Surveying 843 Symphony Isles Boulevard, Apollo Beach, FL 33572 Overview The Party Chief plays a crucial role in overseeing surveying operations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of fieldwork. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. The Party Chief will be responsible for managing survey crews, coordinating project tasks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Duties Lead and supervise survey crews in the execution of various surveying tasks. Conduct field surveys using advanced equipment and technology. Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, including sketches and notes. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure project specifications are met. Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D for drafting and design purposes. Analyze data collected from surveys to create detailed schematics and reports. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during field operations. Train and mentor junior staff on surveying techniques and equipment usage. Skills Proficiency in Carlson, ArcGIS, GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D is highly desirable. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices. Excellent mathematical skills for precise calculations in surveying tasks. Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings effectively. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data collection and reporting.
