This leadership role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed PSM. The Survey Manager will oversee the department, supervise teams, manage project workflows, and liaise with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure quality and timeliness across all deliverables. Full Time Position.

Lauderdale, FL Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the operations of the Survey Department, ensuring high-quality deliverables and efficient workflows across all active projects. Supervise and mentor field and office staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to support professional development and maintain team morale. Manage multiple survey projects from proposal to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, staffing, technical oversight, and quality control. Ensure compliance with applicable local, state (including FDOT), and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and company protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, planners, and construction managers to support integrated project delivery. Coordinate and communicate regularly with clients, contractors, public agencies, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and address technical or logistical issues proactively. Review and approve survey plats, legal descriptions, boundary determinations, right-of-way maps, topographic and construction surveys. Evaluate and implement new technologies and workflows to improve department efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness. Participate in business development activities including proposal preparation, scope definition, and client presentations. Perform occasional site visits to verify field conditions, assess crew performance, and ensure adherence to project requirements. Maintain organized project records and documentation for internal use and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

Must have an active Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper license. Experienced candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM). Must be familiar with CADD programs (AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation). Demonstrated leadership and staff management experience. Proven track record of delivering successful survey projects across multiple sectors. Ability to read and understand maps, legal descriptions, deeds and construction plans. Experience coordinating with FDOT, municipalities, and regulatory agencies is a plus. Ability to multi-task on multiple assigned projects. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Employment authorization required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
