Pipeline Full Job Description Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief – Pipeline to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead a survey crew in performing pipeline surveys, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with project requirements. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a survey crew in conducting pipeline surveys, including route surveys, as-built surveys, and construction staking. Operate and maintain survey equipment such as GPS, total stations, and data collectors. Interpret project plans, specifications, and survey requirements to ensure accurate data collection. Perform calculations and adjustments to ensure survey accuracy and compliance with project standards. Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide updates and address project needs. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Train and mentor survey crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Prepare and maintain accurate field notes, sketches, and reports. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to survey equipment and data collection.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipeline surveying, with at least 3 years in a party chief role. Proficiency in using survey equipment and software, including GPS, total stations, pipeline locators, and AutoCAD or similar programs. Strong understanding of pipeline construction, alignment sheets, and industry standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and travel to project sites as needed. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. NSPS Certified Survey Technician II (or higher) preferred.
