Surveyor Position Available In East Baton Rouge, Louisiana

• What You’ll Do
• + Conduct field surveys to record and evaluate buildings, bridges, and cemeteries that are at least 40 years old + Submit work to the survey coordinator multiple times per week to ensure compliance with program standards + Maintain necessary data for mileage reimbursements and timesheets + Behave professionally and use good judgment as a representative of the State government

• :•+ Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license + Ability to navigate rural terrain and paved urban areas in all weather conditions + Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and digital photography + Bachelor’s degree in history, historic preservation, architectural history, material culture, or a related field + Effective communication skills, both verbal and written + Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently Preferred •:•+ Master’s degree in historic preservation or architectural history •Physical Demands•+ Ability to operate a motor vehicle and drive in all weather and light conditions + Frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs + Ability to carry equipment (approx.
