Job Duties:

Work on crew boats or survey crews
Check inbound/outbound tows
Pump/Shingle Barges
Become proficient and qualified in safety checking barges for entry
Hole watch for team as needed
Learn to operate survey crew boat
Communicate with customers and office personnel via phone/email
Preform 7 day idle barge fleet checks
Assist with fleet maintenance as needed
Inspect barges and document inspections
General upkeep of crew boats
Able to work weekends and travel to outside fleets, docks as needed

Qualifications:

Deckhand experience preferred but not required
Ability to work safely, exercise initiative and good judgment
Writing skills sufficient to complete a variety of documents
Ability to work in a flexible way that allows for changes in assignments and priorities depending upon identified needs of the survey crew
Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to handle rigging (up to 50 lbs.), pump and shingle barges, learn barge terminology and communications skills, learn emergency procedures
Must be able to work in all types of climate changes

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay for this position is expected to be:
